Wind Power Company Seeks to Extend Permits for Wind Towers in Vermont
The Bennington Banner reports today on Endless Energy Corp. efforts to extend its permit for three wind measurement towers on Little Equinox Mountain, in Equinox Vermont. The permit for the current the measurement towers apparently passed unnoticed nearly ten months ago, on Dec. 31, 2003. Endless Energy has applied to the Vermont Public Service Board for an extension of the permits. According to the Bennington Banner article: "Endless Energy plans to install up to seven 200-foot wind turbines, with 130-foot blades rotating at 16 rpm, on Little Equinox Mountain. The turbines are expected to produce more than 25 million kilowatt-hours of electricity a year, and the Burlington Electric Department has a contract to purchase energy from the project."
