Wind Farm Project Proceeds Despite Lawsuit
The Wind Turbine blog has this post on the Crescent Ridge wind project in Tiskilwa, Illinois. According to the local PJ Star report, developers of the $60 million project broke ground last Thursday, installing the first two of 33 turbines at the site, despite an effort in federal court to stop the project. The lawsuit, brought by adjoining landowners, alleges environmental irresponsibility, violation of migratory bird and endangered species acts and violation of numerous other state and federal laws. The plaintiff lost a similar state action earlier in the year.
