Biodiesel Plant Opponents Bring Civil Suit to Stop Project
We posted earlier on plans to construct a major biodiesel distribution facility in Alamosa City that would provide one of the first high-volume sources of biodiesel in the U.S. Now the local Valley Courier reports on efforts by project opponents to stop construction of the plant. According to the article, opponents filed a civil suit against the Alamosa City Planning Commission last week after the Commission voted to approve the project. The suit alleges a number of improprieties with the Commission process, ranging from conflict of interest, to failure to provide adequate public comment.
