New Jersey Legislator Proposes Seven Year Moratorium on Offshore Wind Projects
Carolyn Elefant, at Wind and Wave Energy Weblog has an update on the moratorium on coastal wind farms in New Jersey. We posted last week on acting Gov. Codey's executive order to prevent new wind farm developments off the coast of NJ in the near future while the state considers how best to review siting decisions. Now this article from Asbury Park Press notes that state Sen. Joseph M. Kyrillos has introduced a bill to extend the moratorium out seven years.
