Wave Power: Energy Buoy to Lead to Wave Energy Farm

More from the wave energy front: Alternative Energy Blog links to a recent BBC News report on efforts in the UK to harness wave power off the coast of north Cornwall, England.

Scientists at the Renewable Energy Agency for the South West launched a "state-of-the-art" energy buoy to record wave activity and measure wave power of the coast of St Ives. According to the BBC article, the "The project is designed to speed up the installation of one the world's first wave farms, which could be in place within three years off the north Cornwall coast."
